Get the Most out of your Wax!

By following this simple homecare routine, you can get longer out of your waxing treatments, reduce the chance of developing ingrown hairs and experience a less painful and more comfortable treatment! 

• Gently exfoliate the area 2 to 3 times a week leading up to your wax appointment, including the night prior. Exfoliating will remove any dead skin cells and allow the wax to stick to the hair and not the skin.
• Avoid exfoliation for the first 48 hours post treatment, but then resume exfoliating to help discourage ingrown hairs.
• Moisturise the area daily and after exfoliation. Avoid highly scented or perfumed creams. Use a mild, PH balanced moisturiser for intimate areas.
• Lycon Ingrown X-It treatment spray is highly recommended to use between treatments. Your therapist will apply this immediately after your wax. (Not recommended while pregnant or breastfeeding)
• Always let your therapist know of any skin medications (especially Accutane) or vitamin A (Retnol), taken or used within the last 6 months. Advise your therapist of previous allergies or reactions.
